He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Leon and Johnnie Sue Ashbury Bruce; his siblings, LaVerne Montgomery and Lonnie B. Bruce; his stepfather George Wells; and his great-niece Sandra Michelle Boatwright.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Bruce (Ginger); his daughter Rhonda Long of Point, Texas; his granddaughter Stephanie Ellison (Andrew) of Denison; his great grandchild Emma Morris of Denison; and his sister Linda Bell (Ken) of Denison. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
