He was predeceased by: his parents, Napoleon Burris Bearden and Nettie Sue Kendrick Bearden; his wife Jane Bearden; his siblings, Joe Bearden, Jerry Bearden and Jimmie Roberts; his nephew Steven Roberts; and his grandson Jonathan Nelms.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Stan (Angela Nelms) of Bonham and Jeff (Ranett) of Grand Prairie; his grandchildren, Billy Nelms (Martha), Cheyenne Akcali (Jonathan), Kenny Nelms (Jorja), Jeffery Nelms (Jaclyn), Jami Woodard (Seth) and Jason Nelms (Ashley); his niece Angie Kelso; and his nephew Mickey Roberts. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel (2022 N Center St, Bonham, TX 75418). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Avery Cemetery (33 Co Rd 4323, Avery, TX 75554).
