He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Billy Akers and Katricia Ann Akers; and his granddaughter Korie Akers. He is survived by: his daughter Misty; his son-in-law Troy Thomas; his son Justin Akers; his grandchildren, Jayden Akers, Hunter Davis, Ralee Thomas, Jason Akers and Stormy Akers; his sisters, Kathy Akers and Rhonda; his brother-in-law John Allen Simpson; his niece Monnie McCraw (family: Aaron, Hadley); and his nephew Simpson (family: Jaclyn, Kaysen, Brynlee). He is also survived by many cousins and many more friends.
