It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Jack Matthews of Ravenna, Texas, who passed away on December 8, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Moman "Curley" Matthews and Jolena Boone Matthews; his siblings, Ronald Moman Matthews and Peggy Scott; his grandson Clay Matthews; and his stepgrandson Chad Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Faye Moore (Main Baptist Church); his children, Kirk Matthews (Wanda) of Paris, Texas and SuzAnn "Suzie" Matthews Dickey (Keith) of Ravenna, Texas; his sister-in-law Bettye Matthews of Bonham, Texas; his grandchildren, Tony Matthews (Lynsie), Christian Matthews, Dillon Dickey, Drew Dickey and Dawson Dickey; his stepgrandchildren, Chancey Hunt and Quentin Hunt; his great grandchild Cooper Matthews; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ayden Rose Poole and Asa Kirk Hunt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
