She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence Virgil Shumate and Willie Vernell Shumate; her former husband Billy Joe Rodgers; her children, Larry Joe Rodgers and Bonnie Gail Rogers; her brother Ronald Eugene Shumate; her husband Charles Horton; her daughter Carla Sharp; her sister Carolyn Garvin (Billy); her grandchildren, Mandy Ponce De Leon, Ron Wallace, Jeri Lynn, Clay Withrow, Ben Sharp, Ariel LeAnn Sharp and Travis Shelley; and her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Isaiah Arellano, Hagen Ray Tanner and Aiden Don Tanner.
