He was predeceased by: his father Bob Gay; his son Dustin Mims; and his sister Diana Gay Woodward. He is survived by: his mother Pat Smith Gay of Stephenville; his children, Tiffany Ward (Josh) of Gorman, Trina Bivens (Jim) of Ranger and Chris Mims (Becca) of Lingleville; his sister Cassidy Parker (Bradley Dwayne) of Florida; and his grandchildren, Woodrow Bivens, Ian Smith, Aedan Mims, Sandy Suarez, Caitlin Coffman, Kyndall Mims, Madisyn Shaver, Braily Mims, Virginia Bivens-Lara, Mason Shaver and Cooper Mims.
