He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Allen Baker and Bertha Jane Baker (Leonard); his wife Barbara Baker (Long); his sons, Reginal and Robin Baker; and his siblings, N. C. Baker, Curtis Baker, Melvin Baker, George Baker, Johnnie Smith, Opal Beard, Beatrice Maroney and Dorothy Erving.
He is survived by: his friend Ron Butler; his son Russ Baker (Bridget) of Lake Jackson, TX; and his grandchildren, Jed, Seth, Slade and Jessica. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
