He was predeceased by: his parents, Armando Nicanor Argüelles and Emilia Argüelles Gutierrez; his brothers, Armando Argüelles and Oscar Argüelles; his father-in-law Manuel Gonzalez Payan (Eva Rascón); and his son Sergio Manuel Argüelles Gonzalez (Patricia Montemayor).
He is survived by: his wife Magda G. of Argüelles; and his children, Gigi Argüelles, Adriana Argüelles (Tony McDermid), Marcela Argüelles (Marion Lawler III) and Liliana Argüelles (Jorge De). He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
