He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Elsworth and Olive Iola Bell Murphy; his brothers, Robert Murphy and Richard Murphy; his former wife Annie Laurie; his grandson Brandon Farmer; his great grandchild Kaylee McCall; and also, His, Stepdaughter and Helen Jones.
He is survived by: his daughter Ken McCall; his wife Alaouida Jones Murphy; his children, Kay of Quitman, Michael of Albany, Oscar Murphy of Japan and Nancy Farmer; and also Kay McCall.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to First Baptist Church Alba Building Fund or Byne Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund in Albany, Georgia.
