Helen Ruth Riley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Ruth Riley of Quitman, Texas, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Q. C. Sharper and Mae Willie Sharper (Alexander); and her siblings, Quinnie Mae Ivory, Clarence Sharper, Willie Frank Sharper, Jerry Mac Sharper and Joe Louis Sharper.
She is survived by: her sons, Eric Riley (Paula) of Quitman and Tony Riley of Quitman; her siblings, James Sharper (Freddie) of Dallas, Katherine Grace of Dallas and Molly Proctor of Dallas; her grandson Tony Riley, Jr. (Megan) of Tyler; and her great grandchildren, Silas, Kambrey and Tony III (Trace). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Lowe-Gardner Funerals and Cremation Chapel (1102 E Goode St, Quitman, TX 75783). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sharon Cemetery (4496 TX-37, Winnsboro, TX 75494).
