She was loved and cherished by many people including: her former husband Robert Clay; her sons, Robert (Carol Clay) of Jackson, David Clay and James (Anna Clay) of Quitman, Texas.; her husband Clarence Brown of Vero Beach; and her stepchildren, Calvin Brown, Roslyn Evans and Judith Beal of Florida. She was also cherished by five granddaughters, one grandson and seven great grandchildren.
