He is survived by: his wife Deloris Scarborough Sample of Quitman; his children, Derek Sample of Center, Dena Brewer of Big Sandy, Delicia Smith of Quitman and Donel Sample (Joyce) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Ainsley Beavers, Rustyn Sample, Alexis Sample, Jayson Smith, Alayna Sample, Taylor Keply and Emily Keply; and his brothers, Douglas Dale Sample of Pittsburg and Ronald Gene Sample of Jasper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
