He is survived by: his parents, Pam Cathey and Dr. George Cathey of Quitman; his brother Jason Cathey (Julie); his niece Lauren Cathey; and his nephews, Townes of Tyler Texas and Brooks Cathey of Tyler Texas. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and countless cousins.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Daniel Cathey's name.
