He was predeceased by: his parents, Cregg Parsons Nolen II and Roberta Nolen; his wife Phyllis Gail Nolen; and his siblings, Christine Nolen, Michael Nolen and Betty Knight.

He is survived by: his former wife Jeanna Chapman; his wife Lisa Nolen of Hawley, TX; his children, Denise Butler (Joshua) of Argyle, TX, Chip Nolen (Hannah) of Edmond, OK, Nicole Luna of Merkel, TX and Briana Luna of Abilene, TX; and his grandchildren, Quinn, Levi and Hazel. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
