She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Harris and Mary Sue Metcalf Harris; her husband Dewey Dewayne Mead; and her brothers, Darrell and Jimmy Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Randal Scott Mead of Quitman and Cynthia Delaine Jackson (Ron Collins) of Quitman; her sisters, Patty Gunn (Leon) of Pickton and Ginger McCreight of Yantis; and her grandchildren, Nicole Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Colton Mead and Peyton Mead. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
