She was predeceased by: her husband James Earl Thompson Sr.; her parents, Samuel Zylks and Viola "Shaw" Zylks; her sons-in-law, Milo Squires and Jessie Martin; and her great grandchild Stalana Squires.

She is survived by: her children, James Earl Thompson Jr. (Jo) of Pahrump, NV, Mary Jeanette Jones (Arthur) of Thornton, WA, Margaret Ann Thompson of Denham Springs, LA, Barbara Anita Gaddy (Vance) of Atlanta, TX and Beverly Kaye Squires of Denham Springs, LA. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
