She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Ray and Glenn Benefield; her son Kevin New; and her brothers, Charles Ray Benefield and Terry Don Benefield.
She is survived by: her children, Scott New (Mindy) of Rockwall and Alicia Hayden of Farmington, Arkansas; and her grandchildren, Carrissa Wallace, Zachery New, Zebulon New, Jacob New, Tyler Hayden, Keaton Moore and Kaylee Moore.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (2924 Co Rd 4919, Bloomburg, TX 75556). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Ramah Cemetery (1502 LA-808, Haynesville, LA 71038).
