Edward Carnley Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Edward Carnley of Queen City, Texas, born in Palestine, Texas, whose life came to an end on October 10, 2024 at the age of 98, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his wife Lena Carnley; his parents, Mary Carnley Ashley and Gideon Carnley; his stepmother Clemie Carnley; his siblings, Warren, Robert, Hugh and Emma Bell; his son Fred Danny Burt; and his granddaughter Marissa Michelle Burt-Williams.

He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Gray of Queen City, Mary Jean (Pat Collins), John (Linda Carnley) and Vernon Carnley of Queen City; and his close friend Annie. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the East Funeral Home (2807 Moores Ln, Texarkana, TX 75503). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Shady Dale Cemetery.
