It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dee D Gardner (Queen City, Texas), born in Anadarko, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 6, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Will Gardner and Cynthia Gardner (Henderson); his wife Mary Ellen Gardner (Myrtle); his sons, Rodney Dale Gardner, Paul Steve Thurman and Thomas G Long; his siblings, Helen Richardson, Viola Williams, Catherine Williams, Daisy Miles, Lorene Daniels, Mildred Whittington (Syble), Mary McGuffie, Charles Gardner, Fred Gardner, Lee Gardner and Howard Gardner; his son Bobby Long of Nashville; and his grandchildren, Heather Thurman-Roach (Lester) of Atlanta, Elleigh Gardner of Baltimore, Cullen Gardner of Texarkana, Sandy Mahon of Atlanta, Tonya Domokos (Alex) of Atlanta, Monty Long (Amber) of Dyerburg, Chad Long (Melissa) of Cabot and Twyla Long of Nashville. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
