He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Adolpus Nowell and Willie Dee White Nowell. He is survived by: his children, Janice Nowell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Max (Denise Nowell) of Quanah, Texas and Anna (Wayne Heppard) of Canyon, Texas; his granddaughter Katie (Travis Saylor) of Moore, Oklahoma; his child Sandy (Heath McAllister) of Quanah, Texas; his great grandchildren, Tyson, Weston and Quinton McAllister of Quanah, Texas; and his sister Yvonne Mesler of Wichita Falls, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests memorials be made to Quanah Acme & Pacific Railroad Museum or the Thompson Sawyer Public Library.
