She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Ray and Vivian Gafford Godbey; her husband Joe Tipton; her daughters, Patsye Dodge of Quail and Nancy Ellis of Wellington; her brother Jerry Godbey of Boynton Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Kimberly Chaparro, Kerry Barlow (Mellisa), Andrea Stiles, Michael Stiles (Kathleen), Karen Dodge and Steven Dodge (April); and her great grandchildren, Shawna Bohn, Abbie Barlow, Katy Barlow, Presli Stiles, Rosalind Stiles and Michael Stiles. She was also cherished by 11 great-great grandchildren.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Christian Church or the Wellington Cemetery Association.
