In loving memory of Sylvia A. Alfeld of Prosper, Texas, born in Huntington, Indiana, who departed this world on October 31, 2024 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Garrison and Maxine Garrison (McDowell); her husband Lawrence Alfeld; her daughter Kelley Bradtmueller; her grandson Ezra Hiles; and her sister Pamela Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Karl Alfeld, Kimberly Gunkel (Andy), Karie Swank (Kurt) and Kraig Alfeld; and her sisters, Judith Bancroft, Kay Robb and Melissa Glaze. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (917 W Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46802).
Memorials in her name may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Lions Clubs International Foundation.
