He was predeceased by: his parents, D. W. Montgomery and Clytee Montgomery; his siblings, James Montgomery and Lometa Short; and his son James Allen Bryant, Jr..
He is survived by: his son Paul Bryant (Darlene) of Celina, Texas; his granddaughters, Sarah Bryant of McKinney and Mary Dupree (Clayton) of Weatherford, Texas; and his great grandchild Effie Leigh Dupree.
