She was predeceased by: her parents, George L. Bezoni and Opal E. Baichtal; her husband Philip Wayne Clarkson, Sr.; her brothers, George and David; and her nephew Robert Eklov.

She is survived by: her children, Persian, Philip Clarkson Jr. (Barbara) of Coralville, Iowa, Jon Clarkson (Dee) of Windsor Heights, Iowa, Christopher Clarkson (Susan) of Denton, Texas, Lisa Garey (Richard) of Sharpsburg, Georgia and Rebecca Smith (Dean) of Cedar Falls; her foster son Hung Nguyen of Alabama; and her brother-in-law Jack Clarkson of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
