It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leticia Juarez (Presidio, Texas), who passed away on July 26, 2018, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
While working at Telefonica de Ojinaga she met Tobias "Toby: Juarez of Presidio whom she married in 1964. Toby and Lety raised their six children in Presidiio where they owned and ran the Juarez Furniture Store. Lety instilled a love of God and prayer in her children and was a loving and giving mother, Lety always put her children first while insisting on strict moral standards and discipline. Her children credit her and Toby with teaching them about honesty, charity, and the values of education and a strong work ethic. Lety loved to sing, dance, and bake. For many years she volunteered at the Presidio schools and Presidio voter elections. Many people will remember her from her time at the Presidio Clinic and later when she worked at the Santa Teresa Church Parish office--although her greatest joy in life was being with family. Lety was a devout Catholic with great faith and love of God. She was an active church member, serving as an altar server, Eucharistic Minister, and Catechist who prepared many children and youth for First Communion and Confirmation. She belonged to the ASNPAC group and loved her sisters in Christ. She is survived y six children, Laura, Fernando, Zaira, Gerardo, Lisette, and Christina, 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four sisters, Soledad Nieto, Socorro Castaneda, Rosario Navarrete, Bibiana Nieto and four brother, Adalberto Nieto, Luis Carlos Nieto, Hector Nieto and Jesus Nieto. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Lety was preceded in death by Toby, her husband of almost 50 years who passed away inj 2014. The Juarez family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations for the Casa Hogar Orphanage be sent to The Juarez Family, P.O. Box 460, Presidio, Texas 79845 in memory of Leticia Juarez. Rosary service will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Santa Teresa Catholic church at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Santa Teresa at 10 a.m. Graveside service will follow at the Desert Hills cemetery. Fr. Mike Alcuino will officiate.
