She was predeceased by: her parents, Vivian Aguilar and Josefina Aguilar; her husband Tomas B. Ornelas; her son-in-law Rufino Hernandez; and her great grandchild Sophia Marie Hernandez.

She is survived by: her close friend Ity Herrera (Chuchi); her children, Tomas Ornelas Jr., Norberto Ornelas (Mercy), Luz Elena Flores (Jesus) and Laura Hernandez; and her close friend Chuchi Herrera. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
