It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis Lorene McKinney of Pottsboro, Texas, born in Bonham, Texas, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Forrest Rice and Lela Mae Atkins Rice; her husband Albert Wilton McKinney; her siblings, Richard Rice, Louis D. Rice, George Ray Rice, Melba Jean Brockett and Billie Morris; and her granddaughter Tamara Sanders Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Ray McKinney (Carol) of Highland Village, Albert Spiller (Gilda) of Bells, Alan McKinney (Sandy) of Little Elm, Jean Kay Sanders (Hershell) of Weatherford, Sandra "Sandy" Hudson of Whitewright and Sharon Etter of Pottsboro. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
