He is survived by: his close friend Sharon Stark of Pottsboro, TX; his children, James Stephen McGowen (Teresa) and Perri McGowen of Henderson, TX; his stepchildren, Darrell Stark, Kathy of Idalou, TX, Joyce Stark of Pottsboro, TX, Cyndi Stark of Pottsboro, TX and Shannon Stark of Pottsboro, TX; his grandchildren, Jessica McGowen, Jennifer Hardy, Alex McGowen and Mary Gough; and his great grandchildren, Micah, Noah, Ben, Rosemary, Madison and Deklan. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
