He was predeceased by: his parents, Smokey Deaton and Evelyn Burns Deaton; his son Justin Shane; and his brother Adam Paul. He is survived by: his siblings, Ron (Jill), Kathy (Keith) and Leah (Mark); his sons, Kory (Samantha) and Kyle (Shaundra); and his grandchildren, Payton, Riley, Zakk and Kollin Deaton.

Memorials may be made in his name to NaNaws Assisted Living Center or the Southside Baptist Church in Denison Texas.
