We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2019, at the age of 96, Maria Tijerina (Poteet, Texas), born in Devine, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Gutierrez and Leonora Gonzales Gutierrez; her husband Martin P Tijerina; her daughters, Janie Tijerina, Domitilla Delgado and Apolonia T Cantu; and her brothers, Manuel Gutierrez and Chon Gutierrez.
She is survived by: her children, Louis (Linda Tijerina), Reynaldo (Margarita Tijerina), Martin (Priscilla Tijerina), Raymond Tijerina, Ignacio (Rose Tijerina), Gregoria Leal, Leonora (Marcos Villesca), Linda Villalobos, Dominga Tijerina, Dora Ramon, Della (Rudy Herrera), Olivia (Andrew Campa) and Modesta (Juan Rivas); her son-in-law Willie Cantu; and her sister Janie (Damascio Lugo). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
