He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Zamora and Josephine Zamora; and his siblings, Antonio Zamora, Ricardo Zamora, Mary Zamora and Cecilia Perez.

He is survived by: his children, Johnny Joe Zamora of Poteet and Mary Zamora of California; his sisters, Olga Salazar (Jimmy Salazar), Chafie Gutierrez (Emilio Gutierrez) and Juanita Oliva (Andres Oliva); his grandchildren, Sarah Zamora and Jonie Zamora; and his great grandchildren, Jazmyn Caballero, Abcdee Duran, Lyanna Patlan and Michael Patlan Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
