He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Rivera Sr. and Porfiria Briseno Rivera; his wife Alicia G. Rivera; his sons, Paul Rivera and Manuel Rivera; his granddaughter Tiffany Cordova; and his brother Juan Rivera.
He is survived by: his children, Alicia Rivera Guerra (Armando Guerra) of Poteet, Alex Rivera (Sandra Rivera) of Poteet, Criselda R. Gonzales (Ramon Gonzales) of Andrews, Sylvia R. Salazar (Sahin Salazar) of Poteet, Carlos Antonio Rivera of Austin, Peggy Sue Maldonado (Raymond Maldonado) of Mesquite, Tony Rivera (Adel Rivera) of Tyler, Jeanna Cordova (Edward Cordova) of Tyler, Steve Rivera (Yesenia Rivera) of Post, Texas and Zachary Rivera (Alexandra Rivera) of Post, Texas; his siblings, Celestino Rivera, Maria Rivera, Ruben Rivera (Carol Rivera), Rudolpho Rivera, Gertrudes Rivera, Ernest Perez and Jesse Rivera; his sister-in-law Maria Rivera of Poteet; his grandsons, Ezequiel Rivera, John David Rivera, Michael Guerra, Alejandro Rivera, Noel Gonzales and Matthew Gonzales; and his great grandchild Jaythan Luebano. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home (118 W Oaklawn Rd, Pleasanton, TX 78064). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hosanna Baptist Church (237 School Dr, Poteet, TX 78065). A prayer was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 7:00 PM. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at the San Pedro Cemetery.
