He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wesley Patterson and Eula Catherine Gabrysch; his former wives, LaVerne Patterson and Wanda Patterson; and his siblings, Patricia Hardcastle, Tom Patterson and Casper Gabrysch.
He is survived by: his spouse LaVerne Plocek of Cotulla, Texas.; his grandson William, Jr.; his brother Ollie; his grandson Mitch; his nephew Clayton; his friend Butch Calhoun; his children, William "Bubba" Wallace Patterson, Jr. of George West, Texas and Margaret Hippensteal (Kevin) of Orange Grove, Texas; his grandchildren, Mitchell Hippensteal (Ninfa) of Sandia, Aubrey Bird (Casey) of Oakville and Courtney Driscoll of Fort Worth, Texas; his great grandchildren, William, Camryn, Cade, Olivia, Ryan, Clayton and Kaylee; and his brother Frankie Allen Patterson of Refugio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
