With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Wilson Bruce in Portland, Texas, born in Dayton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Bruce and Doris Ingles; his daughter Janet Lynn Bruce; his sister Judy; and his son-in-law Samuel Aguirre.
He is survived by: his wife Minerva "Minnie" Bruce; his daughter Carol Sue Aguirre; his grandsons, Jacob Valencia, Matthew Valencia Sr. (Toni) and Landis Ferrell; his great grandchildren, Matthew Valencia Jr. and Ryhan Valencia; and his siblings, Ernest Harrison (Helen) and Kay Smith (Greg).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oak Park Memorial. A rosary was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (707 N Ave E, Beeville, TX 78102). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery (9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410).
