With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary June Merrell of Portland, Texas, born in Ingleside, Texas, who passed away on April 25, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mayfield and Mable Mayfield; her husbands, Kelley Owen and Charles Roy Merrell; and her siblings, William Mayfield, Alfred Mayfield, Bobby Mayfield, Evelyn Pounds, Ramon Mayfield and Maida Kelley.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Owen (Teri) of Portland, TX, Kellene Baird of Skidmore and Kimberly Ackel of Winnie, TX.; her grandchildren, Dustin Baird (Cassandra), Jamie Mitchell (Brett), Kristopher Owen (Robi) and Cody Ackel (Jenny); her great grandchildren, Kadin, Kase Baird, Brodie, Bailey, Travis Mitchell, Chase and Avery Owen; her sister-in-law Penny Speer Upton; and her caregivers, Cynthia, Jennifer, Maria, Ana and Dr Lee Sang.
