She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Chavez, Jr.; her daughter Lorrie Chavez Lucio; her parents, Jesus Medina and Eduvwiges Nino Medina; and her siblings, Israel Medina, Eloy Medina, Rodolfo Medina, Amparo Rodriguez and Edna Esparza Birch.
She is survived by: her sons, Chris and Christopher J. Chavez; her granddaughters, Kasey Gonzalez (Joseph) and Sabrina Schultz; and her great grandchildren, Christopher and Loriana Schultz.
