He was predeceased by: his parent Ysabel Velasquez; his wife Maria Alicia Velasquez; his mother Lydia Velasquez Sr.; his sons, Anselmo Velasquez Jr. and Albert Velasquez; and his brother Ysabel Velasquez, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Marta Velasquez (Jose), Mariana Velasquez, Jose Guadalupe Velasquez (Abenat), Daniel Velasquez (Sonia) and David Velasquez; his sisters, Jannie Mayorga (Rudy) and Lydia Cantu (Apolonio); and his daughter-in-law Sylvia Velasquez. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Winsteads' Funeral Home (500 Wildcat Dr, Portland, TX 78374). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (107 Church, Gregory, TX 78359). A burial was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at the Gregory Cemetery.
