He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Pavelka and Henrietta Pavelka (Kucera); his siblings, Dorothy Pertru, Joe Pavelka, Edward Pavelka, Irene Havelka and Eugene Pavelka; and his daughter Jane Ann Howard.

He is survived by: his sisters, Gladys Mayne (Don) and Evelyn DeAtly; his children, Bobby Howard (Sandra) and Vanessa Mueller; his grandchildren, Robert Howard (Krista), Mark Howard (Erin), Darian Pavelka, Taylor, Dillon and Adam Mueller; and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Riley Howard, Teagan, Owen Scally and Eleanor Howard.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Winsteads' Funeral Home (500 Wildcat Dr, Portland, TX 78374). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Palms Memorial Gardens.
