It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Faye Sutton of Porter, Texas, born in Leland, Mississippi, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vollie Champion and Addie May Champion; her husband Vernon Sutton; and her siblings, Marie Sanders, Coren Hollingsworth, Lura May Trainer, Mozelle Edington, Doris Champion, James Champion, Frank Champion and Bobby Champion.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janie Roach (Gary) and Sandra Jones (Boyd); her grandchildren, Kim Farnsworth (Chris), Tineal Bowling, Michelle Churton (Casey), Mandy Shanklin (Blain), Kellie Langley (Nathan) and BJ Jones; her great grandchildren, Karli Bowling, Kiersten Burling, Alyssa Hitt, Haylee Hitt, Rylee Langley, Burke Shanklin, Taylor Langley, Emalyn Churton, Paisley Shanklin and Anabel Churton; her great great grandchild Weston Smith; and her sister Nelda Wilburn.
