He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Smith and Mary Sanders Smith; his wife Brooksie Naomi Smith; and his siblings, Evie Walker and Joe Hume Smith.

He is survived by: his son Larry Smith (Teresa); his grandchildren, Jennifer Lilley (Joey), Crystal Henderson, Corbin Smith (Nicole), Nicolas Smith (Crystal) and Weston Smith; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jacob Lilley, Paetyn Henderson, Brielle and Ayla Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.
