She is survived by: her children, Gary Martin III (Kristan Starling-Martin), Aron Michael Martin and Bryant Thomas Martin; her grandchildren, Julian Yarbrough and Harper Martin; her siblings, Judi Saltzman, Shelly Stahl and Jared Diamond; and her pets, Charlie, Rose and Mick.
