He was predeceased by: his son Riley Joe Landry; and his sister Burnell Tauzin. He is survived by: his wife Jeannene Elkins Landry; his children, Beth Poss (Charles) of Bridge City and Richard Landry (Coni) of Port Neches; his brother Butch Landry; his grandchildren, Angelique Landry, Candy Thomas, Misty Sanders, Timothy Armitage (Leslie), David Armitage and Houston Landry; and his great grandchildren, Ryder Armitage, Reid Armitage, George Armitage, Hank Armitage, Sergio Thomas, Marisol Thomas, Paige Schuler and Ty Schuler.
