She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmen Guarnere Rasa and James Edward Rasa, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband David Smiley of Labelle; her children, Kristi Bonin (Layne) of LaBelle and Brent Smiley (Jennifer) of Nederland; her siblings, James Edward Rasa, Jr. (Karen) of Groves, Cynthia Hebert (A. J.) of Lumberton, Virgil "Gene" Rasa (Connie) of Sour Lake, Sammy Rasa (Rhonda) of Brookeland, Debbie Wueller (Chuck) of Groves, Denise Taylor (Wade) of Port Neches and Ronnie Rasa (Michelle) of Beaumont; and her grandchildren, Seth Bonin, Landon Bonin, Kennon Vasseur and Malana Vasseur. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
