He is survived by: his wife Jeanette "Jan" Abshire of Port Neches; his children, Kyle Abshire (Kim) of Spring, Keri Louviere of Port Neches and Kreg Abshire (Elizabeth) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Zachary Abshire (Hannah), Emily Chiu (Michael), Alexandra Owen, Gabrielle Louviere, Parker Louviere, Anthony Abshire, Nora Grace Abshire, Luc Abshire and Emmeline Abshire; his great grandchildren, Logan, T. J., Beckett, Carys, Caroline, Oliver and Mylo; and his brother Linwood Abshire (Joan) of Lumberton.
