He is survived by: his sister Sue Softy (Doug); his nephew Adam Softy (Amanda); his great-niece Everlee of Antioch, Illinois; his nephew Jon Chase Nicotre of The Woodlands; his aunt Elizabeth Ann Thompson of Houston; and his uncles, John Boudreaux of Houston and Tommy Thompson (Sandy Thompson) of Huntsville.
