He was predeceased by: his son Orvis Floyd Hickman; his grandson Ricky Foreman; his parents, Orvis Hickman and Era Hickman; and his brother Orlan Tatum Hickman.
He is survived by: his wife Sherlyn Swilley Hickman of Port Neches, TX; his children, Hardy Hickman, Jr. (Sherry), Gwendolyn Hickman of Groves, TX and Stacy Hickman Amburn (Donald Keith); his sisters, Ardessa Swilley of Jennings, LA, Oline Brashier of Jasper, TX and Guanda Istre (Ernest); his grandchildren, Lorena McGlothlin, Kenneth McGlothlin, Paul McGlothlin, Jr., Joshua Amburn, Jeremy Amburn, Jonathan Amburn, Brittany Hickman, Davin Fountain, Trevor Fountain and Ricky Hannon Fountain; and his great grandchild Ashlyn McGlothlin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
