It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Servando Orta Jr. (Port Lavaca, Texas), who passed away on November 19, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Servando Sr. Orta and Luz Bazan Orta; his brothers, Cirilo and Serapio Orta; and his great grandchild Ivan Rodriguez.
He is survived by: his wife Azucena Garza Orta; his children, Servando Orta III, Linda Carpenter (Roy) and Mary Ann Orta; his siblings, Enrique Orta of Garceno, Manuela Mireles of McCallen and Jessie Ruiz of Fort Worth; and also Katherine Rivera. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
