He was predeceased by: his parents, Marius Thyssen and Helga Thyssen; and his wife Betty Logan. He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Thyssen and Denise Woodworth; and his grandsons, Evan Woodworth and Blaise Woodworth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Port Lavaca.
