He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Fritz Koehn and Ella Luedke Kridler; his brother James Edward Koehn; and his stepfather Edgar Thomas Kridler. He is survived by: his wife Lorchen "Dottie" Freier Koehn; his brother-in-law Lodovico Foster Freier; his daughters, Melissa Koehn Mitchell and Suzana Koehn Eckermann; and his grandchildren, Melynda Marie Eckermann and James Allen Eckermann.
