It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Jane Thigpen of Port Lavaca, Texas, who passed away on March 11, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Aline Riemenschneider Reitz and Louis Reitz; and her son Brian Thigpen. She is survived by: her husband Vernon Thigpen; her children, Ashley Thigpen (Christopher Heuss), Darrell Thigpen (Amy), Carl Thigpen (Barbara) and Scott Thigpen (Candice); and her siblings, Vonnie Pokluda and Joe Reitz. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 on the way; and 2 great-grandchildren.
